SHILLONG, April 1 � A Meghalaya police constable was arrested on Saturday for allegedly raping a 12-year-old girl at his residence.
Toilingwel Toi, a constable attached to the Special Branch was arrested for allegedly raping the minor girl working at his residence as a housemaid.
The police said Toi has allegedly raped the minor on several occasions from February this year.
�The victim complained about the constable and immediately the constable was arrested after an FIR was lodged at the Mawlai Police Station,� East Khasi Hills Superintendent of Police, M Kharkrang said.
