GAURIPUR, Dec 30 - Under the aegis of the Department of Assamese, a poets' meet among the students of third semester of the Assamese department of BN College, Dhubri was held today at the auditorium hall of the college.
The meet was inaugurated by Dr Upendrajit Sharma, HoD, Department of Assamese, BN College. Inaugurating the meet, he appreciated the efforts of the students to write poems. Dr Alaka Sharma acted as the critic and advised the poets to write poems regularly. The meet was conducted by Abdul Hanif Khan. The promising poets including Raihana Islam, Mrigen Das, Musafika Yesmin, Manushri Saha, Sultana Parbin, Bhanita Das, Ariful Islam, Farzina Rahman, Wazeda Khatun, Susismita Kundu, Jyoti Paul and Rupchan Ali Mondal read out their self-composed poems. The meet was participated by more than hundred students and teachers.
