PM holds meeting on SAF Games

NEW DELHI, Oct 23 - The Central Government and State Government should be equally responsible for organising the SAF Games, Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has said.

The Prime Minister has held a review meeting of the SAF Games on Tuesday with the officials of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports including the Minister in-charge Sarbananda Sonowal and Secretary Rajiv Yadav.

Sonowal told newsmen that the Prime Minister reviewed every aspect of the preparations for the Games to be held in Guwahati and Shillong. The Prime Minister took stock of the initiatives taken by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports to organise the international sporting event proposed to be held in February next, said Sonowal.
