TURA, June 27 - Information now available has suggested that the alleged rapist of a seven-year-old girl at Kaimbatapara-II village in Phulbari is not a minor as had been projected by his family.

According to sources, the rapist is over 20 and has also a voter ID which shows him as such. According to the electoral roll, the age of the suspect is 20.

The suspect had allegedly carried the seven-year-old to his house on the evening of June 23 and sexually assaulted her, even when other people were present in house. He fled immediately after the crime and surrendered to the police in Phulbari yesterday.
