SIVASAGAR, March 5 - Phenix Club beat Zangam Club by 8 wickets in the final of the Konmai Gogoi-Bimola Dutta Memorial Inter Club Cricket League of the Sivasagar Sports Association at the Pioli Phukan Stadium here today. Opting for bat, Zangam scored 165/8 in the stipulated 35 overs where Arpan Dutta 32, Ritwick Das 28 and Shrinkhal Chaliha 26 were the leading scorer. Amrit Basfor 4/33 and Shyam Gurung 2/25 were the main wicket takers for Phoenix. In reply Phoenix scored 166/2 in 32.3 overs. Bhorot Newar and Jerifur Rahman remained unbeaten on 73 and 52 respectively. Individual award winners: Best batsman-Jarifur Rahman, best bowler-Arpan Dutta and MOM in final Bhorot Newar.
