ITANAGAR, April 21 � Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen (Retd) Nirbhay Sharma has expressed shock and grief on the sudden demise of former Governor of Assam and former Chief Minister of Odisha JB Patnaik, an official release stated.
In his condolence letter to late Patnaik�s wife, Jayanti Patnaik, Sharma said late Patnaik was a great nationalist who worked with dedication in public interest and for peace and development in the States of Assam and Odisha. He served the States and the people with distinction, both as a Governor and Chief Minister.
Fondly recalling his brief but pleasant association with late Patnaik, when the later was the Governor of Assam, Sharma said Patnaik�s proactive initiatives make him stand tall among his peers.
