GUWAHATI, Feb 2 � Papul Changmai gave Assam the first gold medal. It is also the first medal for Assam in the 35th National Games.
Papul won the gold medal in the 69kg weight category of men�s weightlifting. At Trichur, Kerala today, Papul lifted 125kg snatch and 159kg jerk for the gold medal, informed Assam Weightlifting Association secretary Bhabajyoti Goswami from the venue.
