Panel formed to probe entry of five persons sans protocol

GANGTOK, July 7 - Sikkim Chief Minister PS Tamang has said that the five persons who allegedly entered Sikkim recently without following the requisite health protocol, would be booked if found guilty.

Tamang said that the Government has formed a high-level committee to investigate the case. �We cannot take action till the facts are clear. The Government has sought an explanation from the State Chief Secretary and DGP,� the Chief Minister said while answering to queries from reporters at the Fambonglho Wildlife Sanctuary today.

Tamang said that the Government has revoked the suspension order against constables as it was found to be an issue of miscommunication.

On the felling of trees for the Smart City project here, the Chief Minister said that the project was sanctioned under the previous regime. It was the previous State Government that had given the denotification for �free zone� from green zone.
