NEW DELHI, Jan 25 � Noted social worker Mukul Chandra Goswami of Assam is among three eminent personalities from the North East to be honoured with the prestigious Padma Shri Award.
The region, however drew a blank as far as the Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan Awards are concerned. Dr P Kilem Sungla of Nagaland and Elam End Indira Devi of Manipur are two other personalities from the NE to be honoured with the civilian awards.
