GUWAHATI, Feb 28 - Agricultural & Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) in association with Federation of Industry & Commerce of North Eastern Region (FINER) organised an outreach programme on �Agriculture Exports from North East� at the NEDFi Convention Centre on Tuesday.
The main objective of the programme was to create awareness about agri exports procedure, export market, plant quarantine requirements, packaging requirements and disseminate various schemes of APEDA.
Speakers were from APEDA, Plant Quarantine Dept, Spices Board, AAI, NERAMAC and IIFPT.
Among those who spoke were Abdul Jalil, Director of Horticulture, Government of Assam, Sunita Rai, AGM, APEDA, and Amrit Deorah, Director, FINER. Nandinee Kalita, Deputy Director, FINER welcomed the participants.
APEDA has been organising such outreach programmes across the northeastern states as part of the capacity building programme to hand-hold the existing exporters and upcoming exporters.
