One more case detected in Darrang

MANGALDAI, May 28 - The Darrang district administration recorded one more COVID-19 case on Wednesday. The infected person has come to the district from a quarantine centre outside the district.

On Wednesday evening, the Sipajhar police reportedly intercepted a vehicle at Dumunichaki, the western entrance of the district, where the COVID-19 positive patient, who is a resident of Nadirkash, Besimari under the Dalgaon Police Station, was travelling from the Sonapur quarantine centre along with another person of the same quarantine centre, who is not infected.

Later the positive patient was shifted to Mangaldai Civil Hospital and the other travellers were quarantined at Sipajhar.

It may be mentioned here that Darrang has already recorded three other positive cases, all of whom are returnees from other States by trains and are currently under treatment at different hospitals in Guwahati.
