One held with leopard skin

GUWAHATI, March 19 - Acting on a specific information, a team of the anti-smuggling unit of the Customs Division, Guwahati, today apprehended one Md Lusai Johnney of Jaigaon, West Bengal, with a leopard skin and five kg of bones at the Adabari bus stand.

Sources said the 7.7-ft long leopard skin and the bones were brought from Bhutan. One accused, reportedly from Bhutan, who was accompanying Johnney, fled from the scene. The animal skin was brought to be sold in Guwahati at around Rs 10 lakh.
