HAILAKANDI, May 30 - One Satyajit Koiri was arrested today by police with a gun and a stick at Gaglacherra Tea Garden of Hailakandi district. Police said that Satyajit is the son of a senior BJP leader Radheshyam Koiri.
Police sources informed that the labourers of Gaglacherra Tea garden, around 20 kms from here have not been paid daily wages for the last three weeks and a meeting was convened today with the manager and leading citizens.
During the meeting, hot exchange of words started among the labourers and Radheshyam Koiri. Then Satyajit arrived at the spot with a gun and a stick. Police came with CRPF personnel and controlled the situation. They arrested Satyajit Koiri and brought to police station.
