One held for ATM fraud

UDALGURI, March 1 - The Tangla police apprehended one person from the ATM of State Bank of India at Tangla town recently for his alleged involvement in fraud case.

It is to be noted that one Munindra Basumatary (25) of Batashipur under Dhekiajuli police station in Sonitpur district has been allegedly engaged in withdrawing money for last one month from the ATM at Tangla by using various ATM cards of different customers.

The police sources said that the accused had withdrawn about Rs 60,000 in the last one month. The police took him into the custody and seized five ATM cards, two mobile phones, a PAN card and a driving licence from him.
