DIBRUGARH, Oct 27 - Oil India Football Club, Duliajan defeated Border Security Force, Jalandhar by a clear margin of 2-0 goals in the inaugural match of the Bharat Ratna Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi Trophy Football Tournament�s Group A league match played at the Chowkidinghee ground here today.
The Group A matches of the tournament are hosted by the Dibrugarh District Sports Association under the aegis of Department of Sports & Youth Welfare, Government of Assam and Guwahati Sports Association for the first time in Dibrugarh.
Six matches of Group A of the 65th edition of the championship will be played here. The four teams in group A are�BSF Jalandhar, Oil India FC Duliajan, Shillong and ASEB SC. The other matches will be played on October 28, 30 and 31, November 2 and 3.
Sports reporter adds: At Mukalmua in a Group B league match of the tournament, Trau of Manipur edged past Barroongkha Club of Kokrajhar by a solitary goal. The match winning goal was scored by Princewill Emaka in the 70th minute.
