NSCN(K) ultra nabbed

ITANAGAR, Aug 23 - In an operation at Khogla village in Tirap district on Wednesday, security personnel apprehended a hardcore militant of the outlawed NSCN(K).

Based on specific intelligence, the Khonsa Battalion (of the Assam Rifles) swiftly launched an operation resulting in the apprehension of �self-styled private� Haejam Wangsa of NSCN(K) with a pistol, live ammunition, extortion notes, opium and other incriminating evidence,� stated Kohima-based Defence spokesperson Col Chiranjeet Konwer. The ultra told his interrogators that he has been an active NSCN(K) member since 2014.
