IMPHAL, Nov 22 - A hardcore cadre of outlawed militant outfit NSCN (K) identified as Maringmei Nelson alias Gaisenlung (37) was arrested in Manipur�s Imphal West district, a press release by Manipur police said.
Investigation revealed that he had served demand letters and extorted huge amount of money from Railway project companies working in Manipur�s Tamenglong district, the release said.
He was also involved in an ambush on Assam Rifles convoy at Nungba Bazar in the first week of October this year, the release added. � PTI
