NRL presents Rs 3 lakh to Shiva

GUWAHATI, April 16 � Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) today handed over a cheque of Rs 3 lakh to Shiva Thapa, the pugilist who did the State proud by becoming the youngest boxer to clinch a berth in the Indian boxing squad for the London Olympics of in July.

NRL has been Shiva Thapa�s official sponsor since July 2011. NRL has further announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh, Rs 2 lakh and Rs 3 lakh respectively on Shiva winning a bronze medal, silver medal or gold medal at the Olympic games.

At a function held in the registered office of NRL today, Shiva was felicitated by NRL officials in presence of officials from the Assam Boxing Amateur Association and members of the media. Thanking NRL, Shiva said he will surely have a Olympic medal in his hands when he comes home from London.
