NORTH LAKHIMPUR, Oct 28 - Notification for by-election to 14 Lakhimpur HPC was issued on Wednesday by Returning Officer Debeswar Malakar.
The notification urged the aspiring contestants to file their nomination papers before the Returning Officer or Assistant Returning Officer Mausumi Baruah by November 2 on any week days, except public holidays from 11 am to 3 pm.
The nominations filed would be scrutinised at the Deputy Commissioner�s office on November 3. The last date for withdrawing nominations is November 5. Polling for the by-election would be held on November 19, the notification added.
