GUWAHATI, Oct 28 - The State government today denied reports that it has decided to stop filling up grade IV posts and outsource them.
Describing the reports as �baseless� and �factually incorrect�, government sources said the Finance Minister in his 2018-19 budget speech had emphasised that the government has been very �liberal in the creation and filling up of vacancies�.
�From May 2016 to March 2018, a total of 3,711 grade IV posts have been filled up. Since April 2018, the government has accorded sanction to fill up 318 grade IV posts in various departments,� the sources said.
