No hospital shall refuse screening or treatment in corona cases: Guv

GUWAHATI, March 20 - Governor Prof Jagdish Mukhi, through a notification, has issued several guidelines related to the coronavirus scare, which includes that no hospital, government or private, shall refuse any screening or treatment facilities to any suspected on confirmed case of COVID-19.

The notification further stated that all hospitals should have separate corners for screening of suspected coronavirus cases.

The hospitals, during screening of such cases, shall record the travel history of a person to any country or area where COVID-19 has been reported.

Information of all such cases must be given to State Integrated Disease Surveillance Unit and District Magistrate immediately. Further, no person, institution or organisation will use any print or electronic or social media for dissemination of any information regarding COVID-19 without ascertaining the facts and prior clearance of the Health and Family welfare department, it stated.
