NHAI partially opens Jalukbari intersection

GUWAHATI, Aug 30 - The signal-free intersection at Jalukbari was opened partially by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) today.

This is expected to ease traffic congestion at the busy Jalukbari junction to some extent.

Parul Devi Das, former Additional Chief Secretary, Assam, Pranoy Bordoloi, senior journalist and Raj Chakrabarty, CGM, NHAI, took part in the programme.

The NHAI has targeted to complete the entire signal-free intersection, the first in the Northeast, by March 2016.
