GUWAHATI, Sept 25 - The new �E-Office system� for the Northeast Frontier Railway (Construction Organisation) was formally inaugurated at Maligaon today.
The paperless service was inaugurated by NK Prasad, General Manager of NFR (Construction).
The E-Office project is a Mission Mode Project (MMP) under the National e-Governance Programme of the Government of India.
The project aims to usher in more efficient, effective and transparent inter-government and intra-government transactions and processes, said SK Ojah, Senior Public Relations Officer of NFR (Construction).
�The system will enable paperless working in NFR (Construction) establishment which will be a boost to digitisation. This is built as a single reusable system by bringing together independent functions and systems under a single framework to enhance transparency, increase accountability and transform the government work culture and ethics. This has been brought to change the scenario and bring the digital culture in NFR (Construction),� Ojah said.
�The E-Office will promote green ways of working by introducing paperless work culture in NFR (Construction),� he added.
