GUWAHATI, Jan 24 � News Live cruised into the semifinals of the TG Baruah Memorial T20 Inter-Media Cricket Tournament with a six-wicket victory against Assam Tribune at the Judges Field here today.
Opting to bat first, Assam Tribune scored a fighting 131 for the loss of eight wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Skipper Debashis Sinha top scored with 26, while Lohit Gohain (24 n.o.) and Hiren Nath (19) were the other notable contributors. For News Live, Nabajyoti Borgohain, Pranjal Phukan and Sunil Bora took two wickets each.
In reply, News Live reached the target in 14.4 overs losing four wickets. Anupam Mahanta was their highest scorer with 43.
