Neurosurgeons� meet from tomorrow

GUWAHATI, Feb 26 - The Department of Neurosurgery, Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) is organising the 8th national conference of the Neurological Surgeons� Society of India (NSSI) � NSSICON2019 � at the GMCH Auditorium here from February 28 to March 2.

More than 400 delegates from across the country are expected to attend the conference.

NSSI is a national academic organisation comprising neurosurgeons and allied specialists nationwide. It has been organising the national conference annually in different locations across the country. The conference is a huge platform for neurosurgeons and allied neurosciences professional in India to share their experiences, update their knowledge and interact with each other, a press release said.

Ten international faculties and 40 national faculties are participating in the conference. There will also be live surgery as well as cadaveric workshops along with the conference. Globally-renowned surgeons Prof Lype Cherian and Prof Charles Teo are going to share their surgical skills with the delegates at the live surgical workshop.

Dr Mihir Kanti Choudhury, Education Advisor, Govt of Assam will be the chief guest of the inaugural function. Dr Shah Mohammad Tanvir Monsur, Assistant High Commissioner and Head of Mission, Bangladesh will be the guest of honour.
