NEUFC play 2-2 draw vs FC Goa

GUWAHATI, Nov 1 - An injury-time goal (90+6) by substitute Manvir Singh saved the day for FC Goa as they held NorthEast United FC 2-2 in their match of the ISL at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium here today.

Hugo Boumous put the visitors ahead in the 31st minute after receiving a pass from Brandon Fernandes. Boumous beating the off-side flag calmly slot it at the back of the net.

Despite attempts to find the equaliser the visitors managed to keep the scoreline intact till the half time.

Switching sides, the hosts finally found the desired result with a clinical finish by Gyan in the 54th minute off a pass from local lad Rakesh Pradhan.

To make things worse for the visitors, Redeem Tlang smashed in the second goal beating Goa FC custodian Mohammad Nawaz in the 74th minute. Having received the ball from Martin Chaves, Tlang made no mistake in ensuring that the hosts take the lead for the first time in the match.

Heading towards a victory, Manvir came to spoil the hosts� party as he rose top to head in the ball into the back of the net after receiving the ball from Mourtada Serigne Fall off a set piece to restore parity.
