IMPHAL, Jan 23 - Insurgent groups operating in North East have announced a boycott of Republic Day celebration by calling a 17-hour �total shutdown� in the region from 1 am to 6 pm of January 26.
This was stated in a joint statement of United National Liberation Front of Western South East Asia (UNLFW), Co-ordination Committee (CoCom), Manipur, Garo National Liberation Army (GNLA) and Hynniewtrep National Liberation Council (HNLC) made available here.
