DIBRUGARH, Sept 5 - Former Principal of Dr Rohini Kanta Barua Law College, Nirudh Chandra Gohain passed away at his residence, Jibon Phukan Nagar here last evening. He was 93.
His body was carried to the college today where students and teachers of the institute paid their respect to the departed soul. Students and faculty members from DHSK Law College also paid their tributes. Nirudh Chandra Gohain had begun his career as a lecturer in the department of English in DHSK College here. He had also served in the Department of Social Welfare, Government of Assam before starting teaching in Dr Rohini Kanta Barua Law College. His death was widely mourned in the district.
