GUWAHATI, Dec 20 - Navajyoti Club emerged champions of the Ankurjyoti Challenge Cricket Tournament for the Ratan Lal Singhania and Mohini Devi SinghaniaTrophy defeating Bud Cricket Club by 22 runs. Electing to bat, Navajyoti batsmen piled up 239 runs for the loss of eight wickets in their stipulated 30 overs. Avijit Sinha Roy rose to the occassion with a splendid unbeaten knock of 107 runs off 47 deliveries. Ranjeet Mali and Fazruddin Ahmed scalped three wickets each.
In reply, Bud Cricket boys could only manage 217 runs before being bundled out in 28.4 overs. Sadek Imran Choudhury top scored with 41 runs. Avijit Singha Roy scalped three wickets.
Scorecard: Navajyoti Club 239/8 in 30 overs (Avijit Sinha Roy 107, Parvez Aziz 36, Ranjeet Mali 3/44, Fazaruddin Ahmed 3/50) beat Bud CC 217 in 28.4 overs (Sadek Imran Choudhury 41, Razakuddin Ahmed 32, Abijit Sinha Roy 3/38).
