National Testing Agency conducts orientation programme

GUWAHATI, Dec 1 - A Regional Level Orientation Programme was conducted by Dr Sadhna Parashar, Senior Director and Dr Priyanka Sharma, Senior Advisor, National Testing Agency (NTA) at Miles Bronson Residential School (MBRS) on Friday, said a press release here today.

Thirty-two delegates including principals, deans and academic heads of various reputed universities, colleges and institutions of the North East attended the orientation programme.

In course of the programme, Dr NK Dutta, founder and principal, MBRS was appointed Regional Coordinator of all the competitive and entrance examinations conducted and undertaken by the NTA for North East India.

The National Testing Agency, established by the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), is an independent, autonomous and self-sustaining organisation to conduct efficient, transparent and international standard tests in order to assess competency of candidates.

The Department of Higher Education, MHRD, has mandated the NTA to conduct forthcoming examinations like University Grants Commission � National Eligibility Test (UGC - NET), Joint Entrance Examination (JEE - Mains), Common Management Admission Test (CMAT), Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) and National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).
