GUWAHATI, Dec 24 - The Department of Mathematics, Pandu College observed National Mathematics Day on Tuesday in a befitting manner, remembering the great Indian Mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan on his 133rd birth anniversary, according to a press release issued today. On the occasion, a popular talk titled �Ramanujan�s Tau-function and beyond� was organised by the department.
The talk was delivered by Prof Anupam Saikia of IIT Guwahati. Prof Saikia in his deliberations presented some interesting facts focusing on Ramanujan�s life and works.
The programme was presided over by Dr Jogesh Kakati, principal of the college.
