GUWAHATI, June 23 - The Crime Branch Guwahati today conducted a raid in the Athgaon area and seized 13 grams of narcotropic substance, which is suspected to be brown sugar.
The substance was seized in front of Marwari Hospital under the Bharalumukh Police Station.
The officials took into custody two peddlers � Tosur Ali from Nizarapar, Kotahbari in Gorchuk, and Mojina Khatun from Bohori, Barpeta.
Later, the police raided the house of Tosur Ali and recovered 13 grams of suspected brown sugar, 19 small containers of suspected brown sugar, Rs 59,500 as cash, silver coins and jewellery items weighing 588 grams and a pair of gold earrings.
