Nagaland Govt recalls protein supplements

KOHIMA, July 10 - Nagaland department of Health and Family Welfare has recalled four protein supplements manufactured by Jagdale Industries with immediate effect.

The protein supplements were Mulmin Pro, Mulmin Syrup, Mulmin Plus capsule and Mulmin Drops for non-compliance to labelling and declaration of ingredients as per Food Safety and Standards (Packaging and Labelling) Regulations, 2011, said Principal Director and Additional Food Safety Commissioner, Health and Family Welfare Department, Dr Neikietuo Chiesotsu in a statement here on Thursday.

The product was distributed through pharmacies, retail stores, wholesale outlets, he said, adding, as per directives from Food Safety and Standards Authority of India, sale of the said product has been prohibited in Nagaland with immediate effect.

All designated officers and Food Safety Officers have been asked to conduct inspection under its respective jurisdictions and submit action taken reports by July 20, he added. � PTI
