IMPHAL, Sept 8 Naga Womens Union (NWU) is organising a sit-in-protest in all the four Naga-inhabited districts in Manipur tomorrow to register their strong protest against the alleged unabated assault on the rights of the Naga people and tribals by the Manipur Government with the sole motive of keeping them under perpetual suppression.

The NWU in a press release alleged that the August 30 incident manifest the prejudice and policy of intolerance practised by Manipur Government.

It has been more than 50 days since 144 CrPC has been imposed in Ukhrul. Despite the consistent demand to revoke the same the Government has refused to pay heed. This belligerent attitude of the Government, with Government of India as a bystander, is condemnable, the press release stated.
