Naga mothers file FIR in graft cases

DIMAPUR, June 21 � The Naga Mothers� Association (NMA), the apex body of women of different tribes of Nagaland, has filed an FIR against some persons, including officials of Health and Family Welfare Department of Nagaland, allegedly for their involved in siphoning of funds from National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) and Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY).

Addressing a press conference in Kohima, NMA president Abie� Meru said that NMA had raised the issue of corruption in the implementation of NRHM as a concerned citizen and an organisation looking after the welfare of women and not as an individual.

Huge amount of funds come to the State for NRHM and JSY but these funds are not being implemented sincerely, she said and added: �We are ready to fight against all forms of corruption.�
