Mukalmua SA win Naroram football tie

TIHU, July 15 - Mukalmua Anchalik Sports Association defeated 14th APBn Charaimari by a margin of 8-2 goals in the pre quarterfinal match of the Naroram Barman Football Championship being played at Chamata Anchalik Krira Sangha Stadium near here today.

Tarky Sangma of Mukalmua scored four goals.

Earlier, on the opening day on Saturday, host Chamata Anchalik Krira Sangha defeated Ava Academy of Barpeta 4-3 via tie-breaker after playing a 1-1 draw in regulation time.

Educationist and former player of Chamata, Ajit Barman inaugurated the championship in the opening ceremony where Director of Sports Pabitra Ram Khound, AFA secretary Ankur Dutta, DC Nalbari Sanjib Kumar Das, Nalbari MLA Ashok Sarma, among others were present.
