More check posts, LCSs in NE

NEW DELHI, July 19 � The Centre has decided to set up 13 integrated check posts including one at Moreh on India-Myanmar border as part of the initiative to improve infrastructure for cross-border movement of persons, vehicles and goods, Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Nirmala Sitharaman said in a Lok Sabha reply.

In a separate reply, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley confirmed that the Centre has a proposal to set up more Land Custom Stations (LCSs) in the NE. There is a proposal for setting up two new LCSs at Bokajuli and Rangapani in Assam on the Indo-Bhutan border, as agreed to bilaterally with Bhutan.
