AIZAWL, Sept 4 - The main Opposition, Mizo National Front (MNF), has decided to impose Statewide bandh on Thursday to protest the poor condition of roads across the State.

MNF MLA and party secretary Lalruatkima said that the proposed bandh is called to protest the Congress governments complete neglect of the State roads and apathy towards the sufferings of the people caused by the dilapidated roads.

Many cabs no longer ply on their routes, while truckers have threatened to stop carrying PDS rice from Bairabi Railhead due to the poor condition of the roads, Lalruatkima said.
