Mizoram for vigil on border

AIZAWL, July 13 - Mizoram Government today instructed the police, para-military forces and the intelligence agencies to maintain strict vigil in view of the recent terrorist attacks in neighbouring Bangladesh.

An official statement said a meeting on internal security, chaired by Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla, State Home Minister R Lalzirliana and senior officers deliberated on beefing up security in the border areas.

�Though there has been no specific threat following Dhaka terror attacks, there should not be complacency on the internal security of the State,� participants in the meeting said. � PTI
