Update: 2010-09-15 00:00 GMT

AIZAWL, April 5 - Turning down the Opposition demand, Mizoram Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister John Rotluangliana today said he would not resign due to the alleged anomalies in implementation of the National Food Security Act (NFSA).

Addressing a press conference in the wake of allegations that newly-issued ration cards under the Food Security scheme contained the same birthday date of January 1 for all the members of families, Rotluangliana said he would not step down as demanded by Opposition Mizo National Front (MNF). PTI
