BARPETA, Dec 23 - The body of one Jeherul Islam, who worked as a peon in the Postal Department, was found hanging in the corridor of Jatiya Vidyalay at Bhairaguri, his place of work, about 1.5 km from his home here.
According to reports available, Jeherul, a resident of Bagodi under the Barpeta Police Station, had been missing since December 19. His family members had lodged an FIR at the Barpeta Police Station on December 21. An FIR was also lodged at the Gorchuk Police Station in Guwahati where he had reportedly gone to meet a relative. The body was later sent for post-mortem at the Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College Hospital here.
