Missing girl still traceless

HAFLONG, May 17 � Remila Phonglo, daughter of Digen Phonglo of Dismao village under Diyungbra PS has not returned home nearly one month after her disappearance, causing immense concern among the residents of the area.

It is learnt that Remila, a TDC 1st year student of Udali College of Lanka went missing from April 13 after casting her vote on April 12. At first, her parents thought she might have gone to enjoy Bihu festivities with her friends but when her whereabouts were not found even after four days, her father approached the Lanka Police as she had gone missing from her rented house at Lanka.

But on May 11 a phone call from No 07709395029 came to the father telling him to pay Rs 15,000 and take his daughter back.

Following this, the parents approached both Diyungmukh and Lanka Police on Thursday apprising them about the phone call and take steps to rescue their daughter.
