Meghalaya rural public transport launched

SHILLONG, Sept 11 - Meghalaya Transport Minister HDR Lyngdoh flagged off six Tata Winger vehicles under Meghalaya Rural Public Transport Service (MRPTS) scheme for the people of East Khasi Hills district at a function held here on Thursday.

Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Lyngdoh said that the service was launched by the State Government with an objective to link far-flung villages with the district and subdivision headquarters.
