Meghalaya recovery rate goes up to 52 pc

SHILLONG, June 13 - As many as 23 persons have recovered from COVID-19 in Meghalaya so far. The recoveries have now surpassed the active cases in the State.

Chief Minister Conrad Sangma stated that in the past 24 hours, four more persons tested negative for COVID-19. With this the total number of recovered persons in the State now stands at 23, while the active cases are 20.

�Three more persons have recovered. West Garo Hills (1) and East Khasi Hills District (2) after they tested negative twice. One more person has recovered from West Garo Hills after testing negative twice,� Sangma tweeted.

With these recoveries, Meghalaya�s recovery rate has surged to over 52 per cent, which is above the national recovery rate. The total positive cases reported in the State equal 44 with one death.
