Meghalaya Guv offers worship at Tirunallar temple

KARAIKAL, Dec 29 - Meghalaya Governor V Shanmuganathan yesterday offered worship at Lord Saneeswara temple at Tirunallar near here.

He was accorded a ceremonial temple honours in the presence of Karaikal District Collector E Vallavan and temple Executive Officer SK Panneerselvam. The Governor also performed some homams in the temple.

Later, speaking to reporters, Shanmuganathan, a native of Thanjavur in Tamil Nadu, said Tirunallar needed better transportation facilities as a large number of pilgrims were visiting the town from various parts of the country. �It would be better if more number of trains are introduced to Karaikal,� he said. � PTI
