GUWAHATI, Feb 7 - G Plus won the table tennis team title in the Topcem ASJA 9th North East Media Sports Festival for the Badaruddin Ahmed Trophy.
In the final played at the ABITA Centenary Indoor Stadium here today, G Plus defeated DDK Guwahati 2-1.
In the open singles events, S Soni of All Manipur Working Journalists Union won the women�s title defeating here teammate Jayalaksmi. In the men�s category, T Nirmal trounced Lenindra Singh 2-0 in the all Manipur final.
In the Harendra Nath Baruah Memorial Silver Jubilee Football Tournament, Prag News beat Amar Asom 1-0 while Electronic Media got the better of Pratidin Time 3-1.
In the semifinals tomorrow, Chaygaon Press Club will square off against DDK while in the other semifinal Electronic Media will lock horns with Prag News. The final will be played in the afternoon and it will be followed by the closing ceremony.
