Medanta to organise talk on hypertension

GUWAHATI, July 21 - Dr RR Kasliwal, eminent cardiologist and chairman, Division of Clinical & Preventive Cardiology, Medanta � The Medicity, Gurgoan will deliver a talk on �Hypertension - The Silent Killer & Lifestyle Diseases� on July 23 at 11 am at Mahavir Bhavan, AT Road here.

Also, Medanta - The Medicity, in collaboration with the Kuthari Foundation and Sri Digambar Jain Parsvnath Homoepathic Aushdhalaya, Guwahati will organise a free cardiology heath camp at the same venue on July 23 and 24, from 10 am to 5 pm on both days. The camp is part of the ongoing community outreach initiative of Medanta, a press release stated.

As part of the camp, Dr Kasliwal will deliver a talk on the much relevant subject of hypertension and other lifestyle diseases prevalent today.

Dr Kasliwal is a proponent in the field of preventive cardiology and has over three decades of experience in cardiovascular sciences. He has actively developed and applied non-invasive techniques for early detection and prevention of coronary artery diseases. A Dr BC Roy national awardee, he has over 200 publications, more than 150 awards and hundreds of lectures to his credit.

The health camp will also offer free consultation with Medanta�s cardiologists, neurologists and pulmonologists as well as free health check-ups.
