Manipur nurses to undergo training in Japan

IMPHAL, Jan 29 - Twelve nurses from Manipur have been selected for a three-year internship programme in advanced healthcare skills in Japan. The internship programme has been taken up under the Technical Internship Training Programme, an initiative between the governments of India and Japan for healthcare skill development, sources said here.

The 12 nurses from various nursing institutes of Manipur will go for a 10-month training course at the New Delhi Institute of Management, which will commence from February 3 next. Later, the nurses will be sent to Japan for internship in advanced healthcare skills.
