IMPHAL, Feb 6 - Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh�on Tuesday�strongly condemned the hand grenade explosion in Imphal wherein two Assam Rifles personnel received injuries.
Appealing to the public to bear with the inconveniences while the security forces conduct checking and frisking, he also informed the House that the government has taken up necessary steps to avoid such incidents in future.
Sources said the incident took place when the Assam Rifles personnel were reportedly collecting items used in the ongoing 15th Director General Assam Rifles Sentinel Cup Equestrian championship 2018. The injured personnel � Manbahadur Limb (38) of Sikkim and Uttamkumar Pun (52) of Mizoram have been evacuated to nearby hospital for their treatment, sources added.
