Man surrenders after committing murder

TURA, July 31 - In a sensational case, a 36-year-old man today surrendered to the police after allegedly killing his brother-in-law at Balsrigittim under the Williamnagar Police Station in East Garo Hills district.

A case of murder has been registered against Birit D Shira, a permanent resident of Nengchigen under Shallang in West Khasi Hills, at the Williamnagar Police Station.

�He appeared at the police station and surrendered himself for the murder of his brother-in-law, Francis G Momin (Dingkam), at their residence at Upper Balsrigittim in Williamnagar. He threw the body into an abandoned ring well,� said East Garo Hills SP, Ringrang TG Momin.
